A Shared Shopping List for the Whole Family

Start a list — or several

Create a new list in the app, give it a name, and pick an emoji and a colour so a weekly shop is easy to tell apart from an Aldi run or a holiday packing list. Famora has shopping lists and to-do lists side by side; both work the same way. How many you can keep at once depends on your plan — during the 14-day trial it is unlimited anyway.

Who can add items?

Every member of the family — from the parent who created the list to a teenager with their own account. Nobody is excluded from adding, ticking off or deleting an item; if you are in the family, you can pitch in.

Updates arrive instantly

If someone is already standing in the supermarket while an item gets added at home, it shows up on their screen right away, with no reload needed. Famora keeps the list in sync over a live connection, on the web app, iPhone and Android at the same time. When an item is ticked off, it disappears from everyone's open list, so nobody buys it twice by accident.

Tick off, assign, send a list

One tap marks an item done; Famora remembers who checked it off and when. A single item can also be assigned to a specific family member, and a whole list can be sent straight to someone — they get a push notification with the number of open items and a note in the family chat.

A reminder when you are near the store

Link a list to your supermarket or to one of your saved places and switch on the nearby reminder: when an adult or admin in the family gets close, Famora sends a push with the number of open items, at most once every four hours per person and list. Child and external accounts deliberately never get this reminder, and it needs active location sharing, available from the Family plan up.

Barcode scanning, favourites, your own templates

On iPhone and Android you add products with a camera scan; in the web app you type the barcode in by hand. Save frequent items as favourites, and for a store you shop at regularly, set up a template with your usual range — start every new trip from it, assigned to someone if you like.

Phone, web — and the watch

The list itself lives on the phone and on the web; Famora does not show it on Apple Watch or Wear OS yet. On the wrist you can instead dictate a voice note that turns into an event suggestion or a message, and the morning brief tells you what is coming up.

How many lists does each plan allow?

The number is a shared pool across shopping and to-do lists together. How many items you may keep across your lists is unlimited by default.
